Pros

Colleagues are genuinely supportive and easy to work with, which makes day-to-day work much easier. For years, the company offered great flexibility and trust around managing your schedule.

Cons

With the upcoming merger with Shutterstock, flexibility is expected to be reduced, and some teams may be required to go into the office twice a week. There might also be some restructuring. Meanwhile, workload and expectations have already started to increase. A key issue is how the company handles recognition. Impactful work often goes unnoticed unless employees actively promote their own achievements. There’s no official process for recognition, but in practice, employees are expected to “market” their work, rather than management or the organisation taking responsibility for understanding each team’s contributions. As a result, promotions can feel tied more to visibility and internal politics than to actual performance or expertise. The structure is still very top-heavy, and roles and responsibilities aren’t always clear, which adds to the confusion and disconnect.
