Pros
Sadly, there is very little to recommend about GetHenry.
- One positive is that the CTO, Juan, is an excellent person to work with and clearly extremely talented.
- CEO is not a bad guy. Just very young, inexperienced and not a natural leader.
- Some of the talented interns 'hired' to do senior and mid-level management roles are a pleasure to work with. Sadly they are basically not paid a wage. This undercuts people like myself, who come on as full-time contractual staff. Interns are being hired for the same roles as full contract staff in different cities.
- The promised money to pay staff and increase wages, which are extremely low, is simply not materialising.
Cons
- Lack of resources to operate effectively in the market.
- Huge surge of vastly better-funded competitors such as Tier, entering the market.
- Very poor treatment of staff: the 'bait and switch' payment promises for both myself and my staff. Promising greater pay in six months, then going back on that promise. Promising to pay for training and travel costs, then going back on those promises, not for me, but for my staff. Extremely embarrassing and demoralising.
- Executive atmosphere in operations stressful and chronically under-resourced, even spiteful.
- Chronic lack of staff and utterly unrealistic expectations of growth with current leadership and resources.
- Losing staff at a rapid rate despite constantly 'hiring' new interns to plug the gaps. Interns are quickly finding paid jobs as many of them have the skills and experience to be paid as full-time employees.
- Terrible atmosphere and Chief of Ops hostile and resentful about CEO to his operations team.
