Pros

The company has a good culture, the teams are helpful and competent, until you interact with the upper management!

Cons

The two brothers who run the business, have zero to no interest in running the business, their idea of making business decisions, is simply writing a prompt on chatgpt (or whatever shiny new AI the older brother has found) and following whatever comes up to the very last dot. They lack the depth of knowledge which is very apparent in meetings with them, that is when they actually join the meetings or are not out partying. Their is little to no job security in the company, it's totally dependant on you being a yes man or are agile enough to change to their every whim, which would be happening a lot more frequently.

Thanks for the review. Yes, the company is founder-led. We built and run it by executing fast and holding high standards. This environment isn’t suited to people who struggle with pace, accountability, or decisive leadership. If that felt uncomfortable, it was simply the wrong fit. We wish you well elsewhere.

Pros

Remote work in the UK,

Cons

They only want “yes” people. If anyone knows better than the COO or CEO they will only accept that knowledge for a certain amount of time. When they come up with mad ideas they expect those to be taken fully on-board. When they get told how to grow the business and scale it they only accept your first few ideas which are incredibly successful. After that, they think they’ve got everything from you and will get rid of you. They fire people just before they have any employment rights. They work on a hire and fire basis and don’t try and work with people.

Thank you for the feedback. The reviewer worked with the business for close to two years, during which time they were given responsibility, support, and the opportunity to contribute within a Sales Manager role in a developing function. Sales leadership roles are assessed on delivery against agreed objectives, as well as the ability to operate constructively in a fast-changing, founder-led environment. Where performance expectations and ways of working are not aligned, it can become clear over time that the role is not the right fit. We do not recognise the characterisation of a “hire and fire” culture. Like many growing businesses, we make decisions based on performance, accountability, and the long-term needs of the organisation. We appreciate the contribution made during the time here and wish the reviewer well in a role better suited to their expectations.
