Pros

- Amazing facilities - Great research culture - Fantastic campus - Ideal location

Cons

If you end up with a monster of a boss, you will have no recourse or options. You just get bullied until you quit. HR and finance are a nightmare, HR especially. No one picks up the phone and there is no accountability, Accountability in general is a problem - tenured staff are not made accountable for their actions, inactions, and decisions. Some are great people who are very ethical, but there are plenty of lazy, entitled, shiftless, useless stuffed suits who do nothing but take up space. You can spend your whole life at work and it's never enough.

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Cons

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
