Pros

The only ones: Academic reputation and job network. Even though a lot of employers will give you meaningless, toilsome, and tedious tasks to perform which will not at all advance you professionally.

Cons

it comes down to this: you go to school to learn. in order to learn and not have to self teach yourself everything you need good teachers. Fact and anyone that refutes this is most likely in a liberal arts, management, or other nonsensical major or simply has no social life: Georgia Tech simply does not have good teachers. I have been in school for 16 years now and in that time I have learned that near-impossible curriculum is not at all necessary when a teacher is competent. IF YOUR ARE OUT OF STATE: please save yourself the financial investment and misery of attending this insitution and go somewhere that has good teachers

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Cons

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
