Pros

1. Access to top-tier resources and infrastructure Georgia Tech is a research-intensive institution. As a GRA, you often gain access to advanced labs, specialized equipment, computing resources, and collaborations you might not get elsewhere. 2. Strong research environment and prestige Being affiliated with a well-known institution can boost your CV. The networks, seminars, conferences, and visibility you gain can help with future academic or industry opportunities.

Cons

1. Relatively low stipend / pay vs cost of living A common complaint is that the stipend for graduate assistants, especially in Atlanta’s cost environment, may not go far.

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Cons

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
