Large disconnect between MBM guidance and onsite management - Maintenance Georgia-Pacific Employee Review

Old school managers. Top down management which is ineffective and disorganized. Management has improved some as some have retired, but still lacks alot to be desired. Planning is terrible. Safety dept is just for perception and ppe enforcement. Very few technical managers or managers with formal education. Corporate management style and local management night and day. Alot of politics and special interest among union officials and company. Advancement based on politics more than merit or skill.
