-tight knit team with fun team building -a lot of initial training and ongoing support -huge amount of exposure to education -get to work with a lot of different students/subjects -a ton of PTO days (long holidays that match school calendar) -can commit for just one school year at a time -off on Fridays

-hours can be funky for work/life balance -can be exhausting when you have a full schedule

Great environment Good schedule for studying on the side (specifically graduate school and taking classes) Fun working with students The work is academic and keeps you engaged Later schedule means free mornings for errands Vacation schedule similar to academic calendar

Hours can be difficult when working with students straight from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM with no scheduled breaks Unlike regular jobs where there's natural downtime throughout the day (lunch, 15 minute breaks, etc), every hour is an hour where you have to be on, engaged, and focused when you have a full schedule Working Sundays and M-Th until 10:00 PM makes evening work/life balance more difficult (especially when friends/SO work regular hours)
