Pros

The product was really solid. Difficult to learn everything at first but unlike SaaS roles I’ve been in, we actually delivered physical products, so it felt a lot more rewarding when following up with customers. Especially as the Production Team was really delivering well in the last few months before I left. The people around you actually knew the industry too, as they were quite a mature team. So you aren't constantly explaining the basics to your own team. If you were hitting your numbers, you get noticed and rewarded quickly. There’s a lot of room to move up if you’re hungry.

Cons

It's a slightly complicated industry and product at first. So it takes a little time to get up to speed. The targets were definitely ambitious, so it’s not the kind of place where you can just coast; you do have to be on it!

Pros

- The work is genuinely interesting. Helping customers solve pretty complex engineering/manufacturing problems means it’s different every day and keeps you engaged. - Loads of ownership. There are so many growth and learning opportunities here because you’re actually trusted to take the lead on things. - Great shift in leadership. In the last 6–12 months, the CEO completely reprioritised his time to focus on supporting the team around him and being available for advice and support whenever it's needed. It feels like the company is really finding its rhythm and the culture is in a great place now. - Brilliant people. It’s not just about being talented either. The teams are quite mature now, so the atmosphere is great. Everyone’s happy to share what they know, so you never feel like you're working in a silo. - Great location in Hackney. Lots of good spots nearby for lunch or after work, and the commute is super simple as it’s so close to the tube and overground stations.

Cons

It’s definitely more of a scale-up than a start-up now. There’s a lot of new structure and improved processes being added all the time, which is exactly what we need to keep growing, but it can be a fast-paced adjustment to keep up with it all!

Pros

Geomiq is one of the most ambitious and well-led businesses I've worked with. The senior management team are commercially astute, strategically clear and back their people properly. I was promoted three times in under three years and given real responsibility at every stage, including leading a team of 9 to a record-breaking quarter. The direction of the business is genuinely compelling, and the clarity of vision from the top sets the tone for the whole team. Manufacturing-as-a-service is a category in the making and Geomiq is positioned at the sharp end of it. Two successful funding rounds during my time speak for themselves, but what's more impressive is how disciplined and considered the growth has been. Great culture, smart colleagues, and a sense that you're part of something that's going somewhere meaningful.

Cons

Fast-paced, but if you’re the kind of person who thrives on growth and challenge, that’s a feature, not a bug.
