Pros
1. Considering the small/mid company standard especially in Kolkata, you either get to work in technically challenging environment OR get paid healthy with no technical skill upgrade. GeoTech provides a perfect blend of both learn as per whats latest in the market & in parallel earn at par market standards. 2. Work ambiance in good. Seniors do not make you work here; they rather work with you in parallel. Its Team Success what matters here compared to Individual effort. 3. There is no single project dependency; you get to work in multiple projects which adds on you techno-functional booster pack. 4. Salary is on time for the past 6 months; other employee benefits like Mediclaim are getting streamlined once again.
Cons
1. A Bad business decision taken by the CEO couple of years back by trusting on a few greedy opportunists led to a major debacle of the financial stability of the company. GeoTech was in a massive debt to all who were associated. It could have easily shut down by declaring itself bankrupt. Not sure why it didn't?? 2. GeoTech retained a few resources who stays back with the CEO to fight the storm even without being paid properly for about a year. They could have easily switched. Not sure why they didn't?? 3. GeoTech had to led go some of the well fed & non-productive fixed deposits during the turmoil. Not sure why they didn't retain them considering their loyalty. 4. GeoTech takes you out on weekend trip outside Kolkata once a year. It seems Fun @ GeoTech is a primary aspect of work culture here. Not sure why the management does not save the money instead of spending it on the team.
