Pros

Genji LLC was one of my first jobs, starting out during my senior year of High School and through out my first two years at college. I'm very grateful for the fact that I learned many new skills and new experiences while working for Genji, and for their flexibility. The job paid well for what it was, but the opportunities for growth were lacking. Otherwise, Genji was an interesting job that left many with many great skills and experiences.

Cons

Managment could communicate better with employees in order to help the business grow. Please don't understaff your stores and consider communicating better with Whole Foods management, since there were many differing opinions about certain procedures. Treatment for Genji employees with in Whole Foods management, (especially at my former location) was extremely "clickey" and a bit stuck-up, (especially towards Genji Employees),

Pros

Pay was pretty good, free lunch is nice, the whole foods staff were always friendly. Life and accident insurance were a nice bonus. Really easy if you've got a decent team. No late nights, great if you're a morning person. If you're willing to drive a lot, dedicate a lot of time, and manage there's probably some career opportunities. I have 0 desire to manage so I didn't do any of that.

Cons

Was overworked and micromanaged. Had days where I was scheduled to work alone with high production goals and unreasonable expectations. On days I wasn't alone, I was constantly badgered to be producing at all hours, even if we were done early, but also not to produce too much? Strange to have a job that doesn't want me to be efficient, but then demands it other times. Management kept bugging us to increase sales but there is literally nothing we can do about that, since we're just a kiosk in a whole foods and have 0 control over if people actually want to shop at whole foods that day. Also the health insurance is hilariously bad. A checkup and vaccines, and absolutely nothing else is covered.
