Pros

Working here is good on paper and can help build your resume. You’re thrown right into the mix from the first week and eventually can perform many functions in a company. If you’ve had only entry-level or administrative jobs in the past, career opportunities can be remarkable. Managerial positions have a lot of roles and visibility since it’s still a small company. Located in Austin with casual dress code.

Cons

Their mission is to be respected and loved by their customers, yet they don’t show this love and respect for their employees. Tight control. Rules and regulations, policies and procedures, and strict watch over employee hours and employee interaction/behavior at work. Five accrued days over the first year means no vacation the first several months. Sick days require a doctor’s note by some managers. Any deviance results in a documented warning. Company employees quickly learn to document every communication as support in case another employee throws them under the bus. Salaried employees are required to clock in and out with hand prints. Hourly employees (which could be managerial roles) clock out in order to not go overtime, yet hours worked over the weekend aren't counted. As the other reviewer mentioned, going the extra mile reaps no rewards. High turnover rate, from associates to directors. Processes and red tape prevents profitable growth, directly related to top-down management. Paranoid, strict, and distrustful environment.

Pros

I have so many great things to say about GT especially in the last few years as SO many changes have been made, but let me just summarize with the top things that I think make this company stand out among the rest: 1. Small company with LOTS of opportunity 2. Responsive management that cares about it's employees 3. Great culture and working environment with intelligent, funny and friendly co-workers 4. The number one reason that I started working here was to help people and I get to do that everyday 5. Relaxed environment that is pretty self driven (no micro-managing) and promotes innovative solutions 6. Great PTO and compensation

Cons

When I first started working here in 2012 we had over 100 employees so insurance benefits were great, now that we are smaller the benefits are not as good but still pretty decent compared to the market place.
