Pros

(Mostly) friendly co-workers, time for family matters given freely to favored employees. Nice family feeling, if they like you. The people in the Sales Dept get a lot of perks - golf outings, catered lunches, etc. Everyone else gets pizza or sandwiches a few times a year. Nice Christmas party at The Castle.

Cons

The owner/CEO is like a god, or at the very least, Caesar. His arrival in the office is heralded with much ado; if he shines favor upon you, you've got it made in the shade; should he not take a shine to you, nothing you do will ever be good enough. Management definitely has their favorites - these people get away with everything from being rude and condescending (even to customers) to coming into work and leaving pretty much as they please. I had to teach management my job, then they fired me. Very low morale, even with "the favorites". Everyone hates working here.
