Not the worst but definitely not great - Functional Analyst General Dynamics Information Technology Employee Review

Pros

Benefits aren't bad Federal holidays off (will vary based on contract) Ability to buy extra PTO (let's face it most jobs don't give you cr@p hours for PTO).

Cons

If your contract is out of this office you will never be remote. The company gets tax breaks for every employee who works in the building, therefore if you have medical needs that require you to be remote they won't allow it. The company cares more about $$$ then employee's health/wellness. Having to pay for PTO out of every check just so I can afford to take time off with my family. When your federal agency you work with has extra holidays and the company doesn't give you enough holiday pay you are required to use YOUR PTO or go unpaid for that holiday... As a salaried employee.

Pros

The company has your back; it shows how much it cares for its employees. Personnel moves are done in a way that makes sense, and they often put the right person in the right job and make changes quickly when necessary.

Cons

As contractors, you are bound to what the customer asks. And there is not much control over it, since you are contractually bound to support that customer. Even then, GDIT corporate makes sure to reach a good middle ground when changes are requested.

Pros

Reputable company with good opportunities and potential for growth.

Cons

Depending on the project you are on, you’re treated as a mere resource.
