Pros
Good health benefits (if you choose Geisinger providers) at good prices (if you participate in MyHealthRewards)
Cons
Extra effort barely noticed and certainly not compensated
Management "acknowledges" complaints, but then doesn't follow up (either with visible actions or with a simple update to let the employee know what's going on)

Thank you for sharing your experience. We do offer recognition to those we feel go above and beyond for Geisinger through several programs including Excellence in Leadership, Employee of the Month, NorthStar and Top Patient Experience Clinicians. To date, we’ve recognized more than 500 Geisinger employees for demonstrating our values, outstanding performance, leadership and patient care. Showing our appreciation is important to us and is just one way we continue to encourage employee advancement within our organization.
Worked fully remote which worked for me. Great health benefits. Worked for health plan not clinical.
Cons
Limited opportunities for growth without a college degree. Typical corporate where they cut resources and make big demands. Many long time employees which I thought was a pro at first, but realized they are stuck in old ways and don’t really want to hear a fresh new perspective or even spend time developing new people. As someone with ambition and interest in contributing, I felt stuck, limited, and bored.
