Pros
Well established Metrics based management. The team members of management that are dedicated and entrenched in making the facilities succeed are working hard every day to make efficiencies in revenue, labor and materials.
Cons
There is an inherited stigma with operations management, there are a lot of "good old boy" mentality. The atmosphere is infested with cronyism and biased preference, where if you are not part of the current clique, then your successes do not matter.
