Pros

Really fulfilling mission with a strong social-good component. The company is growing quickly, which creates a lot of opportunity to learn, take on meaningful responsibility, and grow your career. You get to work with very smart, driven people and can learn a ton in a short period of time.

Cons

This is not a traditional 9-to-5 environment. The pace is fast, expectations are high, and the work can feel intense at times. Cash compensation may not always feel fully matched to the demands of the role, but the equity package is meaningful, and tender offers have helped offset that.

Pros

Extremely smart, mission-driven people at every level and every corner of the organization. Being part of a team that has a real shot at tangibly impacting healthcare in the US for the better is exciting and fulfilling. And it's a rapidly growing organization with a culture that favors talent and results over years of experience, so there's lot of room for career advancement if you are motivated.

Cons

The performance bar is high, the workload can be demanding at times, and things move very quickly. But on the flip side, for the same reasons, working at Garner is also very rewarding-- working in a place you are challenged means you get to constantly learn new things, see new things, and grow as a professional and an individual.

Pros

-A lot has changed at Garner in the last several years, for the better. There used to be a huge culture of micromanagement from the top down, and now that we’ve grown larger that has shifted -High value product with a ton of growth potential that’s actually making a difference -really great peers who are ambitious and mission-driven -good salaries -lots of opportunity if you like to build and iterate -interesting ever changing work -management that really cares about me

Cons

Your experience at Garner really depends on your department. Some work you to the bone, some have weak leadership, others are great. Working directly with the CEO is tough as he is more of a micromanager. My team doesn’t happen to have that issue or a work life balance issue so much, so my experience has generally been good. - low diversity, likes to recruit from consulting firms too much -if you aren’t efficient or don’t use the tools available, work life balance will suffer
