Pros

Team Members are not seen as numbers; leadership genuinely cares about Team Members as individuals Collaborative approach Growing company with opportunities for professional and personal growth

Cons

With company growth comes frequent change (to processes, roles, etc.) - this can be exciting and keep us on a continual improvement track, but it's not always comfortable.

Pros

Great culture, good quality homes, work-life harmony. I enjoyed my time with Garman Builders and contributed greatly to both of our success.

Cons

They hired an outside sales management firm to handle the sales staff and we had to become their employee. I didn't like what they presented and that was the main reason I left.

Pros

Garman has a strong reputation in the community and many good people throughout the organization. The company’s history in new home construction is well earned, and there are teams that genuinely care about doing quality work.

Cons

Within the renovation division, leadership lacks sufficient hands-on field experience, which can create confusion, unnecessary stress, and avoidable issues on projects. This is compounded by a lack of consistent openness to input from seasoned professionals, as constructive feedback and risk-based discussion are often dismissed rather than considered. As a result, quality issues arise unnecessarily, and over time it becomes difficult for experienced employees to take pride in their work when concerns are not meaningfully addressed.
