Pros
1. Opportunities to work in wide variety of technologies 2. If you are a workaholic with no qualms about working 24/7, then this is the right place for you 3. Few seniors are extremely knowledgeable and go out of their way to guide you 4. Sometimes you can be assigned core data science (ML) projects that's actually fun to work in 5. Pay is decent (although there is a huge disparity between employees in identical roles)
Cons
For interns and freshers: 1. The 2- month intern program is a scam where you are rushed through a few data science math and tools in which you might not end up working. Post training, offer letters and company laptops are delayed as much as possible to extract maximum work for minimum pay. 2. A 6 month bond is put in the offer letter and is intentionally not communicated to the college, placement coordinator or employee. Most interns leave mid way through the training or burn out by the end of the probation period. By the time you realise this won't work for you, campus placements are closed and most companies would have completed their hiring process leaving you with little to no opportunities. 3. Interns and freshers are assigned entire projects and expected to provide efficient industrial level solutions with minimum or no senior support and supervision For full time employees: 1. People who work all day with no sleep are glorified thus inducing a toxic work environment. 2. If you complain of heavy workload, company gives you two options:- a. You are assigned an intern with zero experience and you end up doing all the work yourself. b. You are branded as incompetent or lacking 3. Horrible hiring practices for senior roles causes some members of the team to work without sleep and burn out 4. Job descriptions are not taken into account and you are forced to do odd jobs irrelevant to your skills or experience. 5. Very few long term projects. Most projects span 1-2 months and you can sometimes be assigned multiple projects simultaneously. 6. No personal boundaries. Clients and managers might call you at odd hours with ad-hoc tasks and unrealistic ETAs 7. Holidays are not actually holidays and most of the employees end up working everyday (including Saturdays and Sundays) 8. Due to the above reasons, the company has a very high attrition rate and most employees leave within 4-6 months. Projects often become unstable with many escalations.
