- Strongly suspect positive reviews on here are coming from bots/non-employees. Note how many 5-star reviews talk in vagueries and have zero negatives to list about the company
- There is a lack of empathy and tact from upper management which creates a rot within the company
- During my time at GDC Group, the head of digital news content and media was someone who did 99% of the talking in every meeting they were involved with. They also habitually interrupted and talked over direct reports. This led to a ripple effect of folks noticing this behavior from their boss and assuming interrupting others is permissible behavior
- On often no notice, this department head would schedule meetings lasting in excess of two hours. As alluded to above, this manager would do the entirety of the talking through these meetings. This not only crushed morale of those who'd hoped to join a collaborative workplace but would impede their ability to get actual work done during the day
- Workflows are needlessly complex with zero instruction documented. When pointing this out, entry-level employees were informed they should take it upon themselves to create the documentation
- GDC Group's PTO allotment and 401K package were inferior to competitors within the iGaming/legal sports betting space. GDC Group also provided no holiday bonuses or incentive pay for work that went above and beyond the job description
- In an attempt to motivate employees, management would gush over certain projects that would bring the company millions of dollars, but pass none of it down to workers
