Pros
Very friendly people, nice working environment including office location, comfort and things like the hot drinks offer. Work is very interesting.
Cons
It can be quite old fashioned and I think this starts with the Board. It is a shame that higher up the organisation most folks are very similar including demographic male, older, white which probably doesn't help change things. There are some exceptional people who don't fit that description but I think they probably get overlooked and so the organisation misses out. Example the best Director either didn't take or wasn't considered for the temporary CEO role. Despite what colleagues are saying, I hope that wasn't because she is young, female and pregnant. We are all hoping she is in the running for the role on a permanent basis because the alternative is either one of the other internal people who everyone knows aren't as good or again somebody new from outside who we all have to spend ages inducting only for them to spend a couple of years doing changes and then leaving us all to go round the same process all over again. I think this Board will choose more conservatively than last time so we'll end up with someone who is like most of them.missed opportunity.
