Pros
I worked at one of Gallaudet's schools (it has a university, elementary school, and high school on campus). The pros are its accessible compared to other places and almost everyone knows ASL. Plus the area (DC) has lot of really cool places to hang.
Cons
Gentrification is a huge issue and Gallaudet pretends to work with the DC POC community in which they profit from. Within the workplace there is a lot of "throwing each other under the bus" situations happening, so it is pretty disturbing. There are other issues that I reported to administration and their respond was, "Oh wow-that's still happening? We tried to take care of that years ago, but guess it's still a problem." And then of course nothing changes because they are the problem.
