Pros

The company operates with a core of principles that is very respectable. Respected in the industry by the carriers Smart qualified people

Cons

No training for someone breaking into the commercial insurance market place. Need structured mentoring program for those that have some business experience but are trying to get up to speed with the nuances of brokering insurance on a large scale. Not very many developed niche practice groups developed in this locations. If you seek helped from national niche programs, they all demanded a piece of the action. Account managers and support were overworked. Other support staff that had very bad attitudes were kept around too long making the environment toxic to some.

Pros

Great work-life balance as a remote employee. Management is approachable and genuinely willing to help when it comes to workload — you never feel like you're on your own.

Cons

Mentorship is largely self-driven. if you don't seek it out yourself, it won't come to you. Systems and internal processes can be slow and tedious, which adds friction to an already fast-paced workload. Compensation does not reflect the complexity or volume of work expected. High performers who are ready for the next step would benefit from clearer, more proactive promotion paths. When that structure is missing, talented people disengage quietly long before they ever leave.
