Pros

None really. You can finagle your own hours if you give them a sob story

Cons

-Management is awful -no recognition for any hard work -they are highly profitable but only the “managers” see the gains -expect all the employees to figure it out in their own -they berate you for having your own ideas and thoughts to solutions to a problem -it’s engineers with zero people skills running the business

Pros

Willing to work with you if family issues come up. Friendly environment and people.

Cons

Can be slow sometimes when orders aren't coming in. Really no upward movement unless someone retires.

Pros

- Depending on the department, you're allowed to grow as an employee. If you prove yourself as an important asset you're allowed to make recommendations, implement changes, and take on new challenges that excite you. I've known several employees who started as applications engineers and have grown to QA, Software, Marketing, etc. - Very casual environment. Everyone wears jeans and flip flops - Hard working! Because it's such a small company each employee is vital! The interview process for *any* position is pretty through. The result is a bunch of very hard working, motivated people. - If you're an OK engineer, they'll make you a great one. Just how it works. - Rejoice! You're going to be working with a bunch of engineering dudes

Cons

- But.......You're going to be working with a bunch of engineering dudes - Very casual environment, yes. But also no real HR department so be sure you're OK with a few f-bombs, flying freebees, and postings from Reddit and Imgur. - Starting here can be rough. You're kinda thrown to the wolves in the beginning. It definitely takes the right personality. You will succeed and be better for it be working here. It gets much easier after the first year. - Some managers are hard because they're trying to make you better and you'll eventually love them for it. Some managers are hard to work with because... they're hard to work with. At Galil there is always a way to make something happen, but you got to learn the politics. -Because it's a small company the ability to move up quickly isn't available. You'll be able to branch out and do different things that interest you, but your ability to change positions may take a long time. -If you're working here as a NON-technical person the experience might be a bit more negative. I've heard some dissatisfaction from these employees while working here. Galil needs to learn to value the voices of all it's employees from all departments, not just the engineers.
