This is Zach, CEO at Galactic Fed. To anyone reading this, please know that we had to terminate this employee’s contract because they were unfortunately sending aggressive, threatening messages to our team, and the work they produced was low-quality work (lots of basic spelling errors, etc). In short, not a great culture fit at Galactic Fed. We made it clear that we were hiring them for a one-time test, to write two articles and see how they perform. This was advertised as an hourly, freelance position, hence “no benefits or opportunities to go full-time.”
I hate having to write a response like this - I never want to be the kind of CEO that negates any bad review, because we aren’t perfect, and I want to learn how we can improve! But in situations like this, I feel obligated to tell our side of the story. This person threatened to leave a bad Glassdoor review if we fired them and didn’t pay more money, and unfortunately it looks like they followed through on that threat. I hope you can understand that I can’t keep people around who act like that.
To be clear:
- All open positions are real. Please apply!
- We will always be transparent about your workload.
- Our contracts are standard for the industry, and if you’re a freelancer, we’re 100% cool with you working with other agencies.
- We have plenty of work available.
If you ever have any worries, just shoot us an email and ask for Zach, I’ll be happy to chat with you myself. Same goes to whoever wrote this review - I’m sorry you had a bad time, but I’m happy to hop on the phone with you to chat it out if that will make you feel better.
