I was going to just move on with my life and leave this situation for what it was, but recently I learned that this company (person) is looking to find a replacement for this role for just $30K.... I can't just let that slide. If I could give this listing 0 stars I would. I am passionately against suggesting anyone applying for this role, but especially women. There is one person that makes all decisions for this company and that is CEO Bruce Thompson. He is not only incompetent, but confidently wrong in so many situations, and ignorantly misogynistic. He hires excellent talent and drives them away when he can't trust their experienced opinions. If the idea of micromanagement makes you cringe, this is not the role for you. Bruce Thompson surrounds himself with "Yes-men" to boost his ego. There is no level of oversight, and he can be better described as dictator - hiding behind the facade of "teamwork." Pay attention to your "panel" interview. He makes everyone think it was a group decision, but it's all Bruce's world. There is NO OPPORTUNITY FOR GROWTH. He will make you believe there is, but he will not see your value for what it is, he will talk down your experience to make you feel less-than, and manipulate you into doing work beyond your workload, pushing you to your limits. If you think I'm just a disgruntled ex-employee, try asking him for 60K instead (which is BELOW current market value). He will show you exactly who he is. And before he tries to defend himself, I left on my own accord after respectfully requesting a raise to match my market value and added responsibilities. I was told that "those numbers were inflated" and that if I didn't believe him "go ahead and try finding something at that rate." I was offered a job at 15K MORE than the raise I asked for in less than a month. Keep looking, I promise there is something better out there for you.
