What a "Garbage" Technology Solution! - Developer Gabriels Technology Solutions Employee Review

Pros

A great opportunity to practice and hone your skills as a Project Manager, for a real career someplace else. Someplace better.

Cons

A very dystopian society where upper management favors the "flavor of the week". Work on a high profile project, and you wield the power (for the time being) and get special favors. Gabriels Technology Solutions takes from and suppresses its work force, and gives very little in return. Once you fall out of "power", it's difficult to get back on their good graces and you're left to fend for yourself on lower profile projects - despite how hard you work. Your best efforts are ignored, unless management considers you an "unchallenging friend/employee" who placates upper management's very unprofessional comments and jokes. Woe to those who try to bring a semblance of respect and compassion to the organization. You are either part of solution and their agenda, or part of the problem. If you find yourself working for Gabriels Technology Solutions, learn and practice your trade quickly to move on to an organization that will at least appreciate your efforts, and values you as a person.

Pros

Nice experience for those just out of school and trying to get into the industry. Pretty average work ethic, social setting. Newer people show promise for the company. Definite job security with all the clients they have and will be getting. Probably a great place to work if you live in Romania... not so much for NYC.

Cons

Upper management is at times very stubborn and also typically jumps on the bandwagon of newest trends. Don't expect to be doing anything very novel here. The number of new projects mostly outweighs the already work in progress projects. Environment does not foster one taking pride in their work, so its hard to keep that ethic if you go in there already having it. Environment mostly fosters a work ethic of "if its done than its ok" instead of "Do it right the first time so it doesn't have to be redone a million times" . Place makes you feel like its more important to fill a desk than actually do good work. Careful your position isn't outsourced.
