Pros
-There were some nice people I met within the company -Can be good bonus potential but salaries are below market (see below) -Discounts at their properties usually, which is a pro if you're not already in a lease or can afford the rent. -Did not have to work weekends. Pro for me, con for the leasing team who worked every weekend.
Cons
-Some tasks you're given complete autonomy while others you are micromanaged -As with many jobs, your experience will vary depending on your manager and coworkers. I had issues with both which made working often miserable. -Pay is definitely below market rates for these positions. The bonuses help but are never guaranteed and still don't make up for it completely. -Training is very minimal, I honestly cannot remember any onboarding other than relying on my coworkers and manager who are already busy. You will be assigned a mentor but I did not find this to be wildly helpful beyond going over simple tasks and job functions -Theoretically, there is room for growth. However, I found this to be a rare occurrence and usually only happens after several years in the same position (based on everyone I met and discussed this with) -Benefits are average, nothing great -There's values/culture I'm sure listed somewhere within their website or an employee handbook, but no one really lives these values within their work. It is all about money with little to no flexibility. By the way, this is not the first property management job I've had.
