Pros
I have really enjoyed my first year with GSquared and look forward to many more. I have worked in consultative roles as a Solution Architect and Enterprise Architect for 15 of my 25 years in the IT industry. I have been exposed to a very wide range of employer cultures and competencies. Working for GSquared reminds me of an earlier time in my career when IT employees’ skills were appreciated and respected. GSquared has the advantages of a small-company culture but has managed to establish a client base of fortune 500 companies. As an example, my previous large employers all pushed self-service HR in which HR contact information was unpublished and phone calls were not welcomed. At GSquared, I have a single point of contact for all my benefits questions who knows me personally so I always receive personalized, accurate information. The owner and partners are all high-quality people whom I have learned to trust to follow through on the commitments they make. In my experience, GSquared takes a lower margin in comparison to other consulting vendors which results in higher compensation for their employees. They also pay referral bonuses. I have strongly recommended GSquared to my colleagues who work for “Low-cost” body shops that typically take a third or more off the rate and provide no benefit in return.
Cons
In the year that I have been employed by GSquared, I have not had any negative experiences to report here.
