Pros
There are a lot of great people who work at GSK. They are smart, fun and energetic people. The company has a good ethos and tries to do the right thing for its patients and its shareholders. The work environment is pretty good and people want to help others. The pay is outstanding and the work/life balance is good.
Cons
There is a reason GSK has been hit with a lot of scandals. The company is incongruent with itself. The company empowers people only to say no and rarely yes. In some cases, even very low level employees can say no and derail a project wanted by senior leadership. Therefore, even when it is the correct action, employees are sometimes forced to go around standard protocol to achieve success. When this is the norm, scandals are inevitable.
