Pros
Good support from line managers across the different rotations. True sense of teamwork Good network across the 3-year program
Cons
FLP programme: - Unstructured FLP program, no clear offboarding strategy once program is completed. - Work responsibility/accountability is 2 grades higher than what you will be getting paid for, however there is a total lack of accountability since they will always justify it through "my hands are tied, you are still in the programme and any promotions need to be handled through your home team". This happened even after being formally recognised as one of the top performers in different teams, but they will always find an excuse to keep you at a lower pay grade. - Home team doesn't see any value on the FLP programme at senior management level. - There is no talent management. - Coming straight from uni you will probably observe that you are not using your brain to its max capacity. GSK: - Overall, there are a considerable amount of under performers who just want their 9-to-5 job and won't be willing to push projects forward without fearing any consequences from upper line management, since there's none. - There are good initiatives at C-suite level to drive a cultural transformation, however that message gets diluted across the different vertical layers of the organisation and encounters an army of 20+ years employees at middle management (grades 6 &5) that will not embrace it/do anything to change.
