Pros

Before GSI, I was unsure what I wanted to do or what my path would be. I was interested in revisiting my IT path... Just not sure how or where to do that. I was put in contact with a GSI representative and not long after had an interview. I'll be coming up on my 4th Anniversary this year! Since joining the GSI Family, I have found an amazing path, working with some very intelligent people. I love what I am doing and where my department/team (GSI entirely for that matter) is going. GSI embraces a "Family First" motto. This is very important to me as I have a big and very active family. The ability to work remotely, with exception of some travel, has helped tremendously with my Work/Home life balance. I have GSI to thank for being my "Path Finder"! I like that the company has a call each month to update everyone on the progress in growth and to address any company wide issues/topics. There are multiple departments within the GSI org chart. I like how they use the Chatter updates for each department in Salesforce. It's nice to understand and learn about what's going on in different areas of the business you don't interact with every day, or at all. Leadership seems to have a great vision and plan! Utilizing the abundance of resources already within and still coming into the GSI Family, they have set the company up for great success! GSI is growing daily and I cannot wait for what is in store for myself and the entire GSI Family!

Cons

We are an all virtual company. There are offices in a few different regions. However, only a few employees go to each office. Other than that, we only type and/or talk to each other. It would be nice to be able to meet (once a year even) and put faces to names and voices.

Disengaged leadership with no clear or communicated vision for the company’s future Little to no internal communication from leadership Reactive decision-making rather than proactive leadership Lack of meaningful company culture or community-building initiatives Employee contributions outside of billable hours go unrecognized and uncompensated No structured performance evaluations, so raises are irregular or nonexistent Bonuses are inconsistently or not awarded, even when objectives are met Poor work-life balance, with a strong emphasis on utilization over well-being Employee benefits have gradually diminished with little explanation or transparency
