Being a Defence PSU, you will be having zero pressure related to job stability for lifetime unless you do either of the 2 things (i) try to molest any female employee within office (ii) Get caught in some theft of any official thing of document by vigilance . Both of the cases being very rare as no one would dare to do such kind of stupidity. Salary would simply drain into your bank account without any hassle on the 1st of each month !! So if your intention is to just get a regular lifetime income without any further professional improvement , you may please opt for this company.
Cons
This list is quite long as compared - (i) The company is plagued by the sick old mentalities due to old generation people working over here. These people believe in not imparting work related knowledge and training to their subordinates so that they them self remain in the limelight. Consequently the new generation being employed is purely depended on itself to gather information and knowledge about the equipment which was manufactured long ago . The same goes for people working in non-tech field as they also face similar kind of problem. (ii) Annual appraisal is purely based on the amount of oiling that is being done to the seniors by the subordinates and not on the basis of how or what you work. (iii) You will face a totally filthy environment within the office. Every decision made by the management is a decision of the filthy politics that persists in the company. (iv) People are transferred not on the basis of requirement rather on the basis of decisions made on personal relations. (v) Most importantly , the supervisor group of the company is deprived of major facilities of the company, viz promotion policy, pay scale etc. Not even proper work exposure is being given just because the people sitting on top of you dont want you to learn and grow. (vi) The lowest paying Defence PSU among all is GRSE. You are not getting paid much as compared to other shipyards.
