Pros

-Owners Understand Marketing - All the owners understand the intricacies of agency life, thus don't have unrealistic expectations. They allow their employees to do their job without constant micromanaging which is normal place in most agencies in my experience. -Ethical and Transparent - Personally, I try my absolute best to help all clients because I know the money they put into marketing in many cases is their livelihood. If their business fails, it is a real detriment to their life and I take that very serious. Working for a company that is ethical and open about their practices is top of the list for me and I have not had any issues with this what-so-ever while working for GRO. -Company goals with the right expectations - GRO for obvious reasons has goals to move the company in a positive direction. At other companies I have seen lofty or unrealistic goals completely cause distrust and resentment towards the owners. What Gro does well, is set the right goal expectations for individual employees to work towards the overall company goals.

Cons

-Fast Paced - With the businesses GRO has acquired, there can be times of extreme upswings where there are insane amounts of changes and updates being requested by clients. I am used to this in agency life, but it can be extremely stressful if not handled correctly. If you can't stomach working an hour or two over 40 hours during these occasional upswings, GRO is not a great choice for you.

Pros

Love our downtown Nashville team, office and location. No two days are the same. Senior team members are accessible. Hybrid work setup is nice. Never feel overwhelmed or under pressure.

Cons

None at this time outside of the everyday work grind. Some days require more focus/effort than others. No red flags or areas of concern.

Pros

I have been working at GRO for a year and can honestly say it has been the best and most rewarding year of my professional career. "Agency Life" has a great ring to it--until it doesn't. However, over the last year, I have yet to find the cliche issues that I have experienced at other agencies. GRO's leadership cares deeply for their employees and continuously strives to ensure everyone has a healthy work/life balance. If you work after hours too many days in a row or check-in while you are on vacation, your manager will not be thrilled. They want to make sure employees take time to unplug and have a fulfilling life outside of work. Your goals are achievable which makes them that much more rewarding when met. You have endless opportunities to collaborate with other departments and learn from some of the best brains in the industry. I learn something new every day, making the next one that much better. This is a fast-growing company where you have the opportunity to pick your own path. Yes, you have to work hard but that shouldn't be mistaken for the dreadful feeling of just "spinning your wheels". If you do your best and have a good attitude, you will be recognized and rewarded. I highly recommend taking the opportunity to work for GRO if it is available to you.

Cons

After about the first month, your training is basically in your own hands. Like any fast-paced environment, you learn as you go. You will have to take the initiative to ask questions and tap others for help. However, there are plenty of coworkers you can use as a resource as everyone truly enjoys helping each other.
