On a positive note, the team in Hlohovec was excellent – a supportive, friendly, and collaborative group of colleagues. The local management in Hlohovec demonstrated both professional and human-centered leadership, which made the day-to-day work experience much more pleasant and motivating.

My experience with the company during my time in Hlohovec was significantly impacted by a lack of transparency from the management. At first, we were repeatedly assured that jobs would be preserved and that changes to storage or operations would not affect our positions. In reality, decisions were communicated with considerable delay, often only after pressure from employees. Eventually, it was announced that the Hlohovec site would be closed, and employees were presented with transfer agreements to another location. However, the wording of these documents was, in many cases, ambiguous and raised concerns about the actual guarantees they provided. Many felt these steps were aimed at avoiding standard termination procedures and reducing severance payouts. After transferring to Piešťany, it became evident that the working conditions were not equivalent – for instance, in terms of meal allowances, performance bonuses, and commuting demands. Additionally, the possibility of working from home, which had previously been available, was reduced. In some cases, employees were offered different, lower-ranking positions without clear justification. Communication with local management was limited and did not always respond to feedback. There were also situations where contract amendments were initially presented differently than the final documents given for signature. Personally, I felt that the local leadership did not always recognize the importance of open and fair dialogue. Several colleagues shared a similar experience, which I believe points to a systemic issue rather than isolated cases. I hope this review helps future applicants better understand the challenges they may encounter when considering employment with this company.
