Pros
- relaxed culture and lots of lifestyle perks (free food, drinks, etc) - subject matter is fun! - you can bring your dog to work - lots of cross team mobility - you can travel to LA to work if you know the right people
Cons
- cliquey culture. most of the least useful employees are old friends who have known each other for a long time, go on vacation together, etc. they are also the ones who are the least helpful and wasteful. unfortunately you cant avoid working with them and they are usually your boss. or are friends with the ceo. - bloated management and mid-tier - too many meetings. how do you get any work done during business hours? - process heavy but with poor results; product cycles are really slow and tho they want to be an agile shop, it doesnt feel like it. - touts transparency but that's not really the case.
