Pros

GFF has been a great place to work and I've grown exponentially. They are always willing to work with you and be flexible with your life. They embrace work-life balance.

Cons

Always very busy, but that is just the nature of the industry. Busy means you're employed so it isn't a bad thing!

Pros

I chose to leave my position to relocate for family reasons, otherwise, I'm sure I would have been here a long time. The people are welcoming, talented, and professional. The management is thoughtful and fair. In spite of the stereotypes that Designers can be egotistical and difficult, I found everyone - even the seasoned superstars - to be relatively humble, approachable, and cooperative. It was a real pleasure to work with them. I'd encourage the young folks to show an interest in what those whom they admire do, and don't assume they don't have time for you. They'll appreciate your effort and everyone will be better for it. I was particularly impressed with the CEO and COO who have worked together a very long time and have complimentary personalities and capabilities - exactly what a firm like this needs. These top jobs are a huge responsibility and in many ways a thankless job, but they handle it all with grace and empathy. They go the extra mile to meet people where they are and give them the chance to shine (as long as you're willing to put in the work!)

Cons

Truthfully the cons at this firm are just the ones that are universal for this field. It's a deadline driven world. This is particularly tough for the entry level folks to get used to, of course. But the culture at GFF really emphasizes flexibility and work-life balance, so as long as you're willing to take on the challenges, you'll have the support you need, if you only ask.

Pros

The sodas are cold and the lunches are free.

Cons

The 'Management Committee' is a joke. The Design Studio consists of two guys working on the projects they want and everyone else is twiddling their thumbs. The new interns have nothing to do. HR puppets the talking points of the Principals. No real culture to speak of. The most bland company ever. No wonder 1/4 of the company have left in the last year. Location in Dallas is the worst..unless youre a Principal.
