      Small town feel and geared towards helping students.

      Cons

      They seem to be the last district in the Austin area to approve raises for teachers. There is also very little classroom support when it come to students with disabilities.

      Pros

      GISD Leadership is not just talk , they definitely follow through with their actions. The growth mindset of adaptability through challenges along with fostering relationships are the biggest assets of this organization.

      Cons

      Unfortunately public education presents itself with barriers that are difficult to navigate. This on top of fast growth and infrastructure that is trying to keep pace can cause mobility issues for students and families.
