Pros

Decent pay and decent coworkers

Cons

Geokon used to be a much different place it realy was a place where you felt like a part of the family. Old owner stepped down and he really made this place what it is I cant speak highly enough of the guy. new owners are making it a more corporate top heavy workplace they seem to be super interested in squeezing the people on the floor. No one seems to do the same with management, good luck getting ahold of hr, I honestly cannot think of a time the hr person has worked a full week in the office and good luck emailing her she get back to you in a day or 2 if she feels like it. Not sure what most of the managers do here besides leave early and come in late again bosses dont seem to care or notice but they sure know if you were 5 min late from brake. we have a 3rd hr person who seems to just talk football in the halls but we would get in trouble if we did the same. for real dont know what he does. the new owners have worked here forever and made sure noone else will be able to move up like they did. between inflation and no profit sharing im making less money every year here i wonder if thats true for management. im looking for new work and i wouldnt recommend geokon over any of the other manufacturing in the area, they all the same now.

Pros

Valued as an actual engineer learning the ins and outs of working on a team learning directly from the engineers who develop the systems. Hands on experience developing on both hardware and software side of electrical products. Freedom to innovate and think and good constructive criticism given from engineers. You get a whole nice office.

Cons

Not really a con, but the company works on a need basis, you will work on what they need which I honestly see as a pro, there is not really a intern structure but it is very much an internship with how much you learn and apply. If you want to work here make sure to reach out to them.
