Pros
GE Digital is very flexible and trusting in many ways - I'm basically free to choose my hours (within reason), working from home is encouraged, and I definitely feel I have a say in the direction of the product I work on (from features to what tech stack we use, etc). Compensation is above the median for my role. It's without a doubt the best job I've had.
Cons
Despite my positive experience, GE Digital (and GE in general) is going through a downturn and with that comes low morale and uncertainty. The company definitely suffers with siloing, it can be very hard to tell what other teams are doing and sometimes it's hard to even say where my work fits in the grand scheme of things.
