Pros

Under the leadership of former owner John Kruger, GCX was truly an exceptional workplace. He valued and respected every employee, cultivating a culture built on trust, recognition, and personal development. The company provided outstanding benefits, including 100% healthcare coverage, full 401(k) matching, and generous incentives like annual bonuses and reliable compensation increases. GCX prioritized both employee well-being and customer satisfaction, treating its workforce like family. As John often said, “Start with the customer and work back” “Take care of the people, and the people will take care of the company.”

Cons

Since Audax took over, GCX has undergone a drastic cultural shift and not for the better. They promised to “Super Charge” the company but turned into a mess. Numerous high-ranking vice presidents were brought in, but rather than driving progress, they cultivated an ego-driven “I’m in charge” Their approach made it seem like GCX was a broken company that needed fixing, this mentality fractured teamwork and derailed productivity. Long-established processes that once delivered consistent results were abandoned, leaving teams confused and misaligned. The consequences have been significant: we've lost customers, seen declining sales, and suffered damage to our reputation and client trust — all stemming from poor leadership decisions. Employee turnover has surged, and many tenured team members have left, taking years of institutional knowledge with them. What was once a unified, people-centric workplace has morphed into a top-heavy structure plagued by mismanagement. The benefits that once made GCX feel like a company that truly cared have been stripped away. Health coverage is no longer fully paid, and the 401(k) match has dropped to just 4% — a painful cut from the generous 100% we once had. It’s disheartening to see how quickly something so meaningful was taken for granted and reduced to the bare minimum.

Pros

My Experience at GCX Healthcare Solutions I worked at GCX Healthcare Solutions for many years. During the first years, I can proudly say it was a company that truly valued its employees. The owner genuinely cared about his people, offered equal opportunities for everyone to grow within the company, and fostered an environment of respect and development. I felt heard, appreciated, and like an essential part of the team. However, during the last 5 years, after the company was sold, everything changed. Many meetings were held supposedly to improve employee performance and the work environment, but in reality, many of us disagreed with the changes and voiced our concerns—yet nothing changed. Only upper management truly had the power to make decisions. It was a difficult transition, especially when compared to what the company used to be. Still, I hold on to the positive years and the valuable lessons I learned. For over a decade, the company provided a supportive and inclusive work environment. Leadership (prior to the company being sold) genuinely cared about employee well-being and development. Equal growth opportunities were offered to all, regardless of position. It felt like a workplace where voices were heard and respected.

Cons

The sense of employee value and trust that once existed diminished over time.
