Pros

Decent pay. Otherwise literally nothing

Cons

This place is a labor farm. If you like working 10 or 12 hour days & on weekends, with no compensation or adjustment to your hours, GCI is the place to you. Accounts are understaffed and instead of hiring you’ll be expected to handle 4-5 accounts to keep you billable and if you’re drowning, it’s your fault. Management does not care if you’re burnt out. You will work until 11pm and then be expected to be online working at 7:30am the next day. I regret working here and am trying to get out ASAP. Don’t bother trying to sus out balance in interviews — they’ll just lie. I tried to be very open about how important worklife balance was & they assured me most people don’t work past 6. I have not had a single day where I can log off before 7. Junior talent leaves quickly & accounts are top-heavy so you’ll spend your entire day drafting useless emails. I have learned nothing & the negative toll on my health is ridiculous. I regret leaving my last agency. Please don’t work here.

Thank you for your feedback. We regret that you have had the experience you shared; however, we always appreciate honest feedback so we can continue to evolve and put people at the center of all we do. We encourage you to speak with your manager, HR, or another senior leader at GCIH if you’re more comfortable, to discuss how we can work to improve your work life/balance and collaboration with team members. As an organization, one of our values is “We are kind and collaborative,” and we would like the opportunity to address any scenario where our people feel we are not living our values. We are proud of our efforts to support work/life balance, including flexible work schedules in the summer to allow for Summer Days, extra Wellness Days off through the year, and refining our ways of working to allow for meeting-free Friday afternoons among other changes driven by employee feedback.
