I was a sub-contractor. I was doing very well there. No major errors on my part. I did all good work and documented all that I could of procedures I had to figure out for myself since my predecessors did not document anything. I got systems working correctly that hadn't been right in years.
What did this get me? Well, the pay was pretty good. Other than that, no loyalty. I worked on the Friday before the 4th of July holiday weekend. It was a very productive day like most days for me. I left the office at 5:00 PM, my regular time, saying have a nice weekend on the way out. At 6:40 PM that same evening I got a message from my sub-contracting company saying my contract ended. No good or real explanation for this! THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT PEOPLE!
