The salary is low and the progressions are not always financial.

You will absolutely get out of this internship whatever you put in. The engineering team there was excellent about asking what I was interested in learning at the internship and trying to cater to that. I was able to experience almost all aspects of what it would look like if I had a job there. The pay is competitive, you are allowed to be active in the work your mentors are doing and are even assigned your own projects, and the atmosphere is good.

If you're from the area and want to stay in the area it's a great gig. The only downside I would see is that it is a standalone plant, so any chance of being hired back couldn't be at a location closer to where you want to live.
