Pros

Your co-workers will be great. Your conversations will range from Disney trivia to is the earth flat??? The staff is friendly, outgoing and hardworkers. I will miss them. They pay 100 percent of your health benefits. They treat you to breakfast every now and then. You have a week off in November. You get your birthday off PAID! Was there less then 2 months.

Cons

Unorganized, random rules, this is differently an environment were you get promoted or have longevity based off of who you are connected with. If you are late 2 minutes they might write you up but if you are liked they will rearrange your schedule to accommodate your tardiness. Be prepared for a lot of that behavior. Rules only apply to some people. The departments need better communication and upper management needs management. They aren't really committed to giving you your promised increases...didn't happen to me but it was circulating...the dollar they promise at the end of your 90 days you may not get it. Make sure it is written into your offer letter..no matter how hard you work. Hard work is really not appreciated by upper management. Supervisors and Operations management are awesome tho in my experience. So if you are a hard worker looking for longevity I would say pass this opportunity up. If you are very socialable and can balance doing the bare minimum and being a seat filler with no real opportunity for advancement unless connect to the right individuals....Go for! I am not being facious. Also employees feel unappreciated and under paid. I would not recommend this job for any of my friends unless they just needed something in between jobs....we have type A personalities. Hours are horrible!

Please keep in mind FES has been on a continuous growth spurt for the past 5 years, and the rules change and will continue to change to accommodate our growth. It is normal for a growing business to have to adjust to every new circumstance. Schedule changes are made to accommodate for productivity in other states or time zones where we have employees and Customers. Given the fact that you were with us for only two months, didn't allow you to finish the mandatory 90-day probation period. We apply that policy to all our new hires before offering the full benefits, as sometimes employees end up not being the right fit for a position, also a very common procedure. We absolutely reward hard work. We have employees that have been with us since day one (over 8 years) and we promote from within as much as possible, precisely to reward hard work. We hope your short pass through our company helps you with new opportunities in your career, and we wish you the best.

EVERYTHING!! There is almost no training which is odd because management says they only hires people who have not been in the lighting business before. They created the training program for new sales reps and it's laughable how little you learn and then are told to go close new accounts right away on a program that business owner do not understand or buy into at all. They start by doing a sales pitch to show how they would loose money by not doing an upgrade with FES but it's immediately wrong because they start with incorrect information. They charge 3 times the amount for lighting and then call it "free" to potential buyers. They have a 15 year contract for a business to sign up and NO business owner wants to sign anything that commits them for that long. It's a horrible business model with the worst kind of people running it. You are to use your own car with no reimbursement, you need to own a laptop, as it is essential for the position but not provided. You need a cell phone with the phone number printed on your cards with no reimbursement for that. You need to print contracts so you either need to buy your own printer or go to a print shop and pay for it yourself. Please please please, stay away from this place.
