Pros

Project opportunities are exciting and varied. Employees are talented and dedicated to their work when given the opportunity to focus by management. Occasionally free snacks such as pop tarts are available. Excellent place to build a portfolio of work and learn marketable skills in a fast moving environment.

Cons

Executive team consistently fails the most basic challenges of management. Lack of professionalism, with management bickering together in front of the team and belittling team members in group meetings. Inability or refusal to effectively structure company, leading to constant bottlenecks in every aspect of operation from pitching to development to qa. Every project features irresponsible 11th hour changes from CD devised off to the top of their head, showing no respect for employee's fatigue and lives outside of work. Expect the commitments of personal life to be consistently in conflict with this working environment. Expectation of employees is to work unlimited overtime hours to address these bottlenecks and late changes. When consistently approached by team members with constructive solutions to the above problems, management dissembles and lashes out, showing no desire for real change. Multiple occasions of employees being made to cry by management's treatment. Extremely high employee turnover.

Pros

If you're young and hungry, this is a creative and exciting place to cut your teeth. Passion is the fuel that this company runs on so be prepared to join in the madness that is fast turn around projects with technology that's untested and bleeding edge. - There are some great projects that you'll get to work on - The overall company culture is laid back and co-workers are pleasant - There's opportunity for mentorship & training (Jake is a wealth of knowledge) - Everyone is given a chance to be creatively involved in designing experiences

Cons

But after a while you're likely to realize that the expectation placed upon you to do 2-3 people's job is unsustainable and doesn't even come close to matching the compensation. - All decisions are unilaterally made by the CEO which causes huge bottlenecks and inefficiencies - A general lack of trust in employees tends to cause leadership to be overbearing at their best and belittling at their worst - Incessant focus on time tracking and task scheduling zaps energy - Lack of remote work flexibility and an overall transparent policy around this - Salary and healthcare benefits are not competitive
