Pros

Benefits for the craft employees. Cafeteria in the basement. Many pleasant co-workers.

Cons

Low salary with the risk of taking salary cuts each year. Poor and incompetent management, especially corporate management. No training for managers. You get promoted based on who you know and how well you "kiss up" to the bosses. Even Maggie Wilderotter, the CEO, was propped up by her father, an executive from AT&T. Many areas are under staffed due to severe cuts. Corporate only thinks to increase the stock price by cutting jobs and budgets. They have no plan to actually grow the business. The company is not forward thinking. Frontier is old school telecommunications. They are getting left behind by their competitors. I have witnessed unethical practices from the top of the company down. They will blatantly hire a friend that is unqualified over a much higher qualified candidate. This has become the norm. They talk big about diversity and hiring veterans but don't ask to see the figures. On the fifth floor in Charleston, WV there are no female upper level managers. There is only one minority. Corporate sent an email to everyone asking them to log on here and boost the ratings so they will look better. Everyone in management is out for themselves. It can be very cut throat. People will use your words against you to better their standing in the company. This has created a very isolated and partially paranoid working environment. Everyone things somebody is out to get them. Fresh and new ideas are frowned upon. It is better to keep your head down and not get noticed. Corporate talks a big game but never backs it up. The company brags about not having a work/life balance. Some managers brag about working 6/7 days a week and expect you to drop everything if they need you. You have to answer emails at all hours no matter the days. The culture is a typical corporate culture where everyone is out for themselves and will stab you in the back if it means they can benefit from it in some way.
