Friendly Consulting Company - Data Scientist Freya Systems Employee Review

Pros

Everyone who works here is considerate, kind, and intelligent, and wants to see others succeed. As mentioned in another review, management works very hard to set up employees for success, and to be transparent and accommodating in making sure everyone can meet their requirements. Everyone is passionate about learning, there is ample opportunity to learn new things, and the work life balance is great.

Cons

As a consulting company with a large corporate client, many aspects of the work are at the behest of that client. This can include things like technical choices, timelines and requirements, which are not always in alignment with the expectations or opinions of employees. While management works hard to mitigate this misalignment, to some extent it is out of their control (at least currently) as a consulting company, and it does seem to happen on occasion.

Pros

A company that listens to the opinions of their employees and cares to assist them in implementing that idea.

Cons

No cons to share because my time there was great. I learned a lot and if given the opportunity to, I would return.

Pros

In terms of people they're great. The work is a pretty eclectic and fairly siloed, so expect to work on something to completion generally on your own with a few exceptions. Lots of different projects, some with varying technology stacks, and an encouragement to own your domain, whatever that may be.

Cons

Not much to say, I've been employed here twice, both times because of how great the people are to work with. The work can be frustration for sure, but its the nature of working in defense and related industries, meaning its fast paced, at times antiquated in both technology and process, but ultimately there are few areas that matter more than defense in terms of impact.
