Pros

Location next to NYC via long walk to the subway or a shuttle the company runs. Free sample foods from suppliers once in awhile

Cons

Where do I begin? Tis company offered great pay and huge bonus if hit goals. I worked for an amazing organizations and FD lured away with talk of a new corporate location, going public and a large salary/bonus. I've been with may large Fortune 100 companies and FD had a plan to learn what I knew and then discard me. They hired me to advise and change the business. To make positive change. Then, when I went ot make change for employees and the good of the company, was told that none of it could happen. They hired me for one discipline which I am extremely skilled at and then after joining, became immersed in website building, not my core skill set. 1.The company has been promising going public and still has not after many years. When asking VP level associates, they all agree they do not think it will ever go public. 2. They have been working on the new location for the company in NYC for years and are still not in it yet. 3. Senior leadership have no idea about different business segments and cannot wrap their arms around anything other than retail sales and CPG. 4. This is not a stable company and everyone has to work extrememly hard and long hours. If you don't answer emails on the weekends or do work on weekends, then forget working here. 5. No support from senior leadership 6. Lots of backstabbing and employee turnover 7. Bad company culture and noone is senior leadership cares.

Pros

What I loved about this job is getting full ownership over my part of the business, and I know a lot of people stick around because they feel a similar passion and ownership. Even though the company is 25 years old, there are still many areas where a much work is needed and therefore great opportunity for new people to come in and make big impact.

Cons

No flexibility for employees to work from home when needed, and terrible PTO package. The family leadership is not transparent, makes questionable business decisions.
