Pros

- Incredible flexibility in schedule/WFH/PTO - Autonomy to get my work done, my way - Accessible senior leadership - Opportunities to grow with the company, if you're motivated to take more on - Cutting edge products in booming industries (very cool gear) - It's a (surprisingly) small, private company which provides agility and freedom to make decisions that directly benefit customers and internal teams, without worrying about investors or haggling with tons of bureaucracy

Cons

- It's a small company and relies on each employee to be a rockstar that is willing and able to wear a lot of different hats and be spread pretty thin. This practice makes people hard to replace when they leave. Often when someone leaves the company, the existing team splits up their tasks, instead of backfilling the staff member. This leads to tasks and programs being neglected or dropped and puts people at risk of burning out.

Pros

Great people, LOTS of room for growth, profit sharing, flexible with PTO, Wes. Wes always made me feel at home with Freefly when I had my doubts and was immensely supportive of my growth in the company. He really helped me out during a dark period of my life and I will be forever grateful that he (and Freefly) never left me hanging even if they had every reason to. If I could, I'd work for this company again just so I could work with Wes. If you see this Wes, thanks for everything.

Cons

You really need to vouch for yourself here. "Be the squeaky wheel" might as well be this company's motto. If you aren't checking in weekly about a pay raise you requested, you're likely to be forgotten about in the sea of responsibilities "management" has on their plate. If you're uncomfortable asking your employers for pay raises or promotions and the like, this probably isn't the place for you. The current system they have set up for servicing customer equipment is terrible. During my last year at the company my job was 20% service coordination and 80% apologizing to customers over and over again for being (at least) a month late on their repair turnaround.
